A second installment of the ‘How to Paint a Colour: Brown’ set, with me covering techniques and colours for two darker shades of brown.
A bit of discussion on using a limited palette and alternates to change the tints of your browns are also mentioned.
All paints used in this video are Formula P3 unless stated otherwise. When a number appears in brackets (X) after a shade/highlight, that is the number of layers to apply, with each subsequent layer requiring more of the shade/highlight colour added to the base.
Dark Brown:
Base: Battlefield Brown
Shade 1: Umbral Umber
Shade 2: Coal Black + Unbral Umber
Highlight 1: Gun Corps Brown
Highlight 2: Rucksack Tan
Green/Brown:
Base: Thornwood Green
Shade 1: Cryx Bane Base
