Another instructional in the ‘How to Paint a Colour’ series, and always appropriate for Hallows Eve, Orange!
I cover the basic primer needs, and ways to base coat over black, as well as several ways to shade and highlight orange.
All paints used in this video are Formula P3 unless other wise stated.
When a number in brackets appears after a shade colour, or highlight, this is the number of shades/highlights applied. Each subsequent layer will have more of the shade/highlight colour mixed into the the base.
Colours used:
Base – Ember Orange
Shade (2) – Bloodtracker Brown
Highlight 1 – Menoth White Base
Highlight 2 – Menoth White Highlight
Alternates:
Shade – Any Blue, deep reds, or browns in the warm range (red, orange).
Highlight Bright and light Colours, but stay away from too bright of yellows. Try and remain muted or pastel, or just use whites.
